Baked Brie

Baked Brie

This fun appetizer comes together super quick and easy. This is great to serve while your guest are mingling and waiting on the rest of the food. This is also great to serve on a charcuterie or grazing board.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 pound wheel double-cream Brie cheese
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 6 Granny Smith apples, cored and sliced

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.
  2. Place the unwrapped Brie in the center of a pie dish. Set aside.
  3. Beat together butter, brown sugar, salt and 1 tablespoon of water with an electric mixer on medium speed until the mixture is paste-like.
  4. Add the pecans and beat them in until just combined.
  5. Top the Brie with the pecan mixture. It should be about one inch thick.
  6. Bake 10-15 until it looks like the sides are about to give way.
  7. Serve the Brie immediately, warm, with the apple slices.

Serves: 4-6
