Barbecue Chicken Sliders

These sliders are super quick and easy to make. They are super delicious and such a crowd pleaser. They are perfect as an easy weeknight meal or you can make a lot of them for a family gathering.

Ingredients:

  • 12 pack King's Hawaiian Sweet Rolls
  • 1 lb chicken breast tenders
  • 1/3 cup barbecue sauce (I prefer Sweet Baby Rays Original)
  • 8 ounces shredded white cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup diced red onion (optional)
  • 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 F. Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish. Set aside.
  2. Boil the chicken in a large pot over high heat for 30 minutes.
  3. Drain and shred the chicken. Coat the shredded chicken in the sauce.
  4. Cut the rolls in half lengthwise. Place the bottom rolls in your prepared dish. Add the chicken to the rolls in an even layer.
  5. Top the chicken with the onions. Add the shredded cheese. Add the tops of the rolls.
  6. Mix in the garlic powder and onion powder with the melted butter. Brush over the tops of the rolls.
  7. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
  8. Cut the sliders apart and enjoy!
