Biscuit Donuts and Holes

Biscuit Donuts and Holes

This donuts are so delicious and easy to make. They come together very quickly for breakfast, dessert or a snack. They are definitely a crowd pleaser. Once you try these, you'll be wanting to have them over and over again!

Ingredients:

  • 2 cans of 5 count Pillsbury Grands Butter Tastin' Biscuits.
  • 16 ounces vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 3-4 tablespoons ground cinnamon

Directions:

  1. In a small pot, heat the oil to 325 F.
  2. Prepare a baking sheet or a couple of plates by lining them with paper towels. This will catch your excess oil after frying. Set aside.
  3. Using a water bottle or a soda bottle, cut holes in the centers of the biscuits. You can make them all donuts, giving you 10 donuts and 10 holes, or you can cut some of them to give you more holes. Usually I'll make 5 or 6 donuts and make holes out of the rest of the biscuits. This is up to you and your preference.
  4. Add the sugar and cinnamon to a small bowl and mix together. Set aside.
  5. Add two of the donuts to the prepared oil. Fry them for about 1-2 minutes on each side until nice and golden. Remove from the oil and immediatly coat in the cinnamon sugar. You want to do this while they are good and hot or the mixture will not stick to the donuts. Place the donuts on your prepared platter from step 2. Repeat with the remaining donuts and holes, adding no more than 5 holes at a time. Enjoy!

*Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.

*It is important not to fry too many donuts at once. This will change the temperature of the oil and how the donuts will fry.

Makes 10 biscuit donuts and 5 holes, quantities may vary depending on how you cut the biscuits. See step 3.
