Cast Iron Toasted Pepitas
This little pumpkin seeds taste amazing and smell amazing! They are the perfect way to top soups, salads and other dishes. They are also a great snack, and they come together in a flash!

Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons salted butter
- 1 cup raw pepitas (hulled pumpkin seeds)
- 1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
Directions:
- In a large cast iron skillet, melt the butter over medium-low heat.
- Once the butter is completely melted, add the pepitas and seasonings. Increase to medium heat.
- Stir frequently until the pepitas are lightly brown and aromatic. This should take about 4 minutes.
- Transfer to a plate to cool.
- Serve as a snack, in a salad, or even in soup!
*Store in at room temperature in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
