Christmas Kitchen Sink Cookies

These cookies are so cute and delicious for the holiday season. They have the traditional Christmas colors and all sorts of fun mix-ins. They have a lot of texture and yummy flavor.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup butter Crisco
  • 3/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup red and green M&Ms
  • 1/3 cup white chocolate chips
  • 1/3 cup pretzel pieces
  • 1/3 cup Lays wavy potato chips, broken into pieces

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350F. Line two baking sheets with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
  3. Add Crisco and sugars to a separate mixing bowl. Cream them together with an electric mixer until light and fluffy.
  4. Add in eggs and vanilla and beat together until pale and fluffy.
  5. Add in the flour mixture and mix until combined.
  6. Mix in the M&Ms, chocolate chips, pretzels and potato chips with a rubber spatula.
  7. Scoop the dough onto your prepared baking sheets in 1 1/2 tablespoon sized balls spread 2 inches apart. Add additional mix-ins to the tops before baking to get a more bakery-style look (optional).
  8. Bake for 11 minutes and allow to cool for 4-5 additional minutes on the baking sheet. When the cookies are straight out of the oven, you can use a round cookie cutter to give them a more perfect shape, but this is optional. Enjoy!
