Halloween Movie Night

Last year, my husband and I decided to have an impromptu Halloween movie night. It was just us, and the dog. I found the three of us some cute matching jammies at Walmart for cheap. They were so comfortable, even Sophie loved them. We didn't like the shirts because they had these huge sticky prints on the front, so we swapped them for some plain white t-shirts instead. I get these pjs for a lot of the holidays because they are so comfy and cheap. Walmart usually has them for all members of the family, even the pets! The shirts are typically comfortable as well. This was the only time I haven't liked them, so I highly recommend.

After we got the jammies, we decided to make a trip to the Dollar Tree to see what they had. We really wanted to do a candy themed charcuterie board, and they always have a lot of cheap candy. We found some cute halloween suckers, then went to the candy isle. You can really be creative with Halloween and get whatever candy you love, since the holiday itself is getting candy for the kids. We thought it would be fun to be big kids ourselves,  and get all of our favorite candies that we don't often get to have. Here are some of our favorites: Nerds, Skittles, M&M's, Airheads, Reece's Pieces, candy corn, Twizzlers, gummy worms, sour patch kids and Reece's bats and pumpkins.  I used some Little Debbie cakes and cookies that I already had to fill in the gaps and make it look a little more festive. You can also opt for healthier foods like pretzels, fruit and veggies. You can even cut cheese out into little pumpkin or ghost shapes. You can really be as creative with this as you like.

We also got some Tostito's pizzas and pizza rolls. We didn't want to fill up on just candy, so we got some real food to go with it. Dollar Tree had these fun popcorn buckets, so we got one of those and some popcorn to go in it. This did end up being more food than we could eat, so we just kept all of the candy in ziplock bags to snack on later.

Dollar Tree had more than just candy too. We got some Halloween plates and napkins, and the cutest skeleton wine glasses for our apple cider! They also had bowls that looked like spider webs, pumpkin bowls, skeleton bowls and more. We didn't want to get that much for just us, but if you're having a party or have a bigger family, they have a ton of great options. They also have a lot of fun decor. We also found some fun beaded necklaces to finish off our outfits too!

We set all of our things up on the table, turned down the lights and enjoyed it all to Hocus Pocus. Of coarse, you can watch any of your favorite Halloween movies!
