Monte Cristo Sliders

Monte Cristo Sliders

These little sliders are so delicious and easy. They taste almost identical to a regular Monte Cristo sandwich without all of the work and all of the deep frying. They don't make a huge mess, and you can make a whole bunch of them really quickly and easily if you need to.

Ingredients:

  • 12 pack Kings Hawaiin Rolls
  • 2 packages baby swiss cheese
  • 24 slices brown sugar ham
  • 1/4 cup salted butter, melted
  • 1 egg
  • strawberry or raspberry preserves (optional)

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F. Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. Cut rolls in half. Place the bottoms of the rolls into your prepared dish. Add a layer of cheese, followed by a layer of ham, then an additional layer of cheese. Add the tops of the rolls.
  3. Whisk together the egg and the melted butter. Pour over the tops of your rolls, covering all of them.
  4. Cover your dish with aluminum foil and bake for 10 minutes. Uncover the dish and bake for 10 more minutes.
  5. Enjoy with your choice of preserves.
