Christmas Peppermint Bark

Christmas Peppermint Bark

This yummy Christmas recipe comes together so quick and easy. It comes together in about 30 minutes or less, and leaves almost no mess behind. It makes a great gift during the holiday season to give to your friends and family.

Ingredients:

  • 10 ounces white chocolate candy melts (I prefer Ghirardelli)
  • 10 ounces milk chocolate candy melts (I prefer Ghirardelli)
  • 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • 1/2 cup crushed peppermints

Directions:

  1. Line a 9x13 inch cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a small glass bowl, melt milk chocolate candy melts in microwave. Start at 15 seconds, then stir well. After that, microwave in 30 second intervals until chocolate is melted and smooth. Stir well each time, making sure not to scorch the chocolate.
  3. Pour chocolate onto parchment paper. Smooth into a thin layer and refrigerate for 10-15 minutes, until chocolate hardens.
  4. In another small glass bowl, melt the white chocolate the same as before.
  5. Mix in the peppermint extract with the white chocolate. Pour this mixture over the hardened milk chocolate, and spread into an even layer.
  6. Sprinkle the crushed peppermints over the white chocolate while it is still creamy. You can use your hands to press them in to make sure they will stick.
  7. Chill bark in the refrigerator for 10-15 minutes until it hardens.
  8. Cut the bark with a sharp knife into pieces. You can also break it with your hands, but it looks a little prettier when done with a knife.
  9. Enjoy!

*Store in an airtight container at room temperature or in the fridge for up to one week.

*This makes a great gift. You can wrap it up and give it to your friends and family during the holidays.
