Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 sticks unsalted butter (3/4 cup) unsalted butter, room temperature
- 1 cup light brown sugar
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon corn starch
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 bag M&Ms candies
- 1/2 cup jimmies
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 F. Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish. Line the bottom with parchment paper, leaving excess on the two larger sides to make the blondies easy to remove later. Set aside.
- In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together flour, salt and baking soda. Set aside.
- Cream together the butter and sugars with an electic mixer until light and fluffy. Add in eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Mix in vanilla.
- Add in the flour mixture, half a cup at a time, mixing well after each addition. Scrape the bowl as needed.
- Gently fold in the M&Ms and jimmies with a spatula. Spread the batter into your prepared dish, in an even layer.
- Bake for about 25-30 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool completely before removing from the dish, or cutting. This usually takes about 45 minutes to an hour.
- Using the excess parchment paper as handles, remove the blondie from the dish. Cut into bars and serve.
*Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 3-5 days.
*You can use other M&Ms and sprinkles to make these fitting for any holiday. You can also just use regular M&Ms.
*You could substitute the M&Ms for semi-sweet chocolate chips if you would rather.
