Macaroni and Cheese

This delicious macaroni is cheesy and bursting with flavor. It is seasoned to perfection. It is the perfect side dish to any meal. I love to serve it with holiday dinners, and its always a crowd pleaser.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup elbow noodles
  • 1/2 stick unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons all purpose flour
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 2 teaspoons dry mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 1/4 teaspoons seasoned salt
  • 1/2 cup shredded extra sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 tsp pepper

Directions:

  1. Add macaroni noodles to a large pot and fill with water only to cover macaroni. Boil until macaroni is soft. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a large, deep skillet melt the butter on medium-low heat, making sure not to scorch. Mix in the flour.
  3. Pour in the milk, whisking until smooth. Whisk in seasonings.
  4. Cook on medium heat for about 5 minutes until thick, then reduce heat to low.
  5. Add in cheese and whisk until smooth. Fold in the noodles.
  6. Serve warm.

*Store in an airtight container in refrigerator for up to 2 days.

Serves: 6-8
